What will you do as Operations Manager at HMVT?
At HMVT, we work every day towards a cleaner environment. With innovative solutions for soil remediation, air treatment and water purification, we help our clients in industry, government and tank storage tackle pollution and prevent emissions. As Operations Manager, you are responsible for the operational processes within HMVT. The Operations Manager improves and implements policy for the Operations department (business office, workshop and technicians). In this role, he or she optimises the efficiency of production resources and employee productivity in both the short and long term. This is done while ensuring the right culture and good working conditions within Operations. You are the bridge between operations and project management. Finally, the Operations Manager is a member of HMVT’s Management Team.
What you enjoy doing:
- Determining capacity, both for assembly work on-site and in-house, as well as staffing and purchasing, including budget management;
- Managing work preparation, purchasing, the foreman, planning, maintenance technicians and logistics staff;
- Improving the key work processes;
- Leading and motivating a team towards shared success;

Who will you work with?
HMVT, part of engineering and consultancy firm Antea Group, has been active in improving the environment for more than 30 years. From our workshop in Rheden, we design, build and rent installations for temporary and permanent environmental technology projects. We combine technical expertise with a hands-on mentality and work closely with our clients to achieve the best solutions. In total, 23 people work at HMVT: a close-knit team of young professionals and several long-serving colleagues.
What you bring:
Do you have strong communication and social skills, and are you capable of leading a team? Then we would like to meet you. In addition, you have:
- A completed higher professional or university degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering or a comparable field;
- Knowledge of and experience with installation construction and internal logistics;
- Experience as an Operations Manager or Project Manager;
- Knowledge of and experience with Lean, HRM and HRD;
- Knowledge of the technical capabilities of production resources;
- A results-oriented mindset and the ability to think strategically.
