Advantages

We can generate a much stronger plasma field from the same energy input compared to traditional cold plasma systems. We can achieve the same degree of purification with this method with a lower energy consumption. We can even remove ‘difficult’ contaminations.

The following graph shows at which point this efficiency improvement is achieved. This is in relation to the average fluorescent tube and existing cold plasmas. A much larger part of the electrons we release have an energy level of 5eV or higher (dissociation energy). To make oxygen radicals, for example, requires a minimum of 5eV. These oxygen radicals subsequently react with contaminants. However, we are also able to make electrons with a higher energy level which can break down contaminations that are tough to oxidise.

In addition, the Corona Air Purification System has a few other significant advantages over traditional air purification techniques:

  • Low energy consumption
  • High-speed reaction times which keeps the reactor small
  • No use of chemicals
  • Very little or no (sprinkler) watering required

The Corona Air Purification System therefore has a very small footprint.

Corona reminds many people of nuclear technology. Nothing is further from the truth! The men in the photograph prove that the Corona reactor does not need lead glass. In the photograph they are examining the quality of the field in an exposed reactor.
